Tony "Iron Man" Stark

It was strange that both Andrew and I were more looking forward to Iron Man 2 than Ip Man 2. Of course both movies are must-watch for me, but I have more interest in Iron Man. Andrew said because he likes robotic things and technologies. I, on the other hand, do not have the answer as to why. Robert Downey Jr.'s charming face? The pretty Gwyneth Paltrow? The super iron suit? Hmm...... I think, and I feel it's because I want to see how Tony Stark turns his ill-fated life into an adventurous one.

He was a playboy and he once lived a messy life. It wasn't his wish to become the iron man, a hero. The electromagnet energy he has on his chest is to prevent him from dying. He created the iron suit to save himself. It was only then he decided to further improve his suit. Hero by chance? Yep, I'd like to assume it that way.

The Iron Man, isn't about fights, actions or massive explosions. It is about how the technology evolves and how mankind uses it. Andrew and I walked into the cinema, expecting to see the Iron Man. There are people who walked into the cinema, expecting to see the Iron Man fights. Can you see the difference?

Oh no, I'm not saying we are so intellectual and great to know how to interpret a movie better. We're no expert in movies. It's just we have a different mindset than the rest when we watched Iron Man. We have all seen how Iron Man can fight in the first sequel, and you can expect to see all that in the 2nd too. About actions and fights, I would say not much in the 2nd sequel. It was more about how Tony Stark struggled and desperately wanted to save himself from dying. It was also about how the technology evolves to create better and worse things in life.

There are a lot of lengthy conversations, which I think are necessary. Iron Man wouldn't be as great if he could only fight and kill without a brain and a soul to drive it. If it is an action-packed movie that they wanted to produce, they might as well just rewrite the script and ask Tony Stark to give Iron Man a chip to make it a drone rather than he wears the suit himself. Right? If that was the case, I think Iron Man by then would be even more boring.

It is the characters in the movie that make it a great movie. When Andrew and I saw how the suit works, we went ooh-ooh-ah-ah. When we saw how the suit got damaged, we went ouch-ow-oh-no. Boring conversations? Were there any? I can't recall. LOL! I guess we were so engrossed in the story and totally blend ourselves in and we forgot about which part was boring. :) All I could tell you is, Iron Man 2 is never boring to me.

Again, if you are looking for Iron Man flying all over the globe (like those other caped heroes) rescuing people from danger and harm, you can forget about watching Iron Man 2.

If you're expecting to see Iron Man fending off enemies with all his oozes and strength and whatever weapons that could mount on him, you can drop the idea of going to cinema for it. Iron Man only uses energy field as his weapon.

If you want to look for a full 2 hours of actions, fights and explosions scenes, save yourself the time and watch Transformers II at home would be a wiser choice.

Iron Man is purely for the Iron Man fans who look for metal suit and highly advanced technology that keeps that thing running. Iron Man is not a killer machine, I would rather say that it is much like a protector or as what they called it in the film, a SHIELD. So, don't ever dream or imagine that Iron Man would go around killing and destroying enemies and bad people. LOL! :p

After the movie, I still love Iron Man 2 despite the not-so-good comments I heard from the crowds in the cinema.  Love the way the suit wraps around Robert Downey Jr., love the way it runs, walks, flies and stand. Does that make me an Iron Man fan? Hmm...... Just a small one I must say. Hahaha.

Lastly, good movie or not? It is the individual preferences that prevail. :)

I didn't put a video of Ip Man 2, but I wanted to put a Iron Man 2 trailer here. LOL! I just love it, so much. :D Especially how the suit transforms from a suitcase!!! Ooohhhhh......

Ip Man 2

Movie time! :D Whenever it comes to movie, I'll be the happy me. LOL! It is very rare for 2 great movies to be in the cinema on exactly the same day. What's more that this 2 movies are both the 2nd sequels, having the same initials too!

Went back to hometown last weekend, thought I would just watch the movies when I came back. But the Iron Man 2 temptation was so strong that Andrew and I just couldn't wait. Saturday noon we decided to make a trip to the cinema in BP to try our luck, sister had warned me of the crowd and the possibility of getting a ticket was very SLIM. Anyway, we still went ahead. Gosh, so crowded! I didn't know that now the people in hometown are movie-goers too! Luckily I didn't have to Q for long. But Iron Man 2 for that particular time we wanted was all full, we only got the Ip Man 2, left 4 tickets for the double seats. And then, after we left the cinema, Andrew said "why not we watch Iron Man 2 after this, 2 movies straight?" Whoa, that is something we haven't tried before. LOL! Fine, got back to the cinema, got in line and bought Iron Man 2 at 2 hours later! Hahaha. We were so lucky we could still get the tickets. :D My sister joked "don't you have cinema in KL?" Hahahaha.

Ip Man was so GREAT! I just couldn't believe what I was seeing. Donnie Yen is incredible. I am not going to describe the movie here. If you like kung fu and actions movies, this is something you do not want to miss.

Do not just watch the movie, you have to watch it with an open mind and heart. There are a lot of life lessons you can get from the movie.

Shutter Island

Leonardo DiCaprio did it again, in Shutter Island. And it's another Martin Scorsese's film DiCaprio starred in.

I missed his Body of Lies in the cinema, I told Andrew I wasn't going to miss this Shutter Island again this time. Hahaha. I like DiCaprio, not because of his good looks, but more of the way he works his charms in a movie. Have briefly mentioned about him in my earlier post.

He looks even more matured in Shutter Island. Fatter too, but that doesn't make him less charming.

The movie, I'm impressed. The plot, the characters, the line of the story, the twists...... They're all woven together so perfectly. There are times where lengthy conversations may make you fall asleep, but you won't. You would have all your nerves in alert condition to pay attention to every details in the movie. Yes, that is pure Scorsese's magic. The same way he had you in The Aviator and the Gangs of New York.

The end of the movie wasn't unexpected, but it was nicely and carefully crafted  to only reveal the entire truth at the end. The mystery was hanging in the air right up to the very end of the movie. Sadness, dark humors, tragic, anger, mystery, suspense...... You could feel just all of them in the movie. Nope, I'm not exaggerating. You'll know what I mean after you watch it.

Do not expect too much of actions in this movie. If you weren't into thriller and suspense, you will not enjoy Shutter Island. It is long too, almost 2 and a half hours long. You will have to need to prepare yourself to really engage in the plot. If you ever felt one tiny bit of boredom in the middle of the movie, well, you can forget about watching it till the end. :)

Enjoy your movie. Or I would say, enjoy Leonardo DiCaprio. :D

P. S.: Andrew and I found one funny point in the movie. The whole institution played along with one person for such a long time. Salute their efforts, man! If that was real. LOL!!!

Perseus

I like mythology, especially Greek mythology. I have read many of them, books, magazines, articles...... When the movie Clash of the Titans was in the cinema, it was a must-watch to me. It is actually a remake of the 1981 version, of the same title. Gotta watch the old one too when I have the chance.

Watched the movie on my birthday. No celebration, only movie.

The movie was great, but I was disappointed with the story. The movie doesn't follow the Greek myth about Perseus, except for one thing that Perseus did kill Medusa. There was also this character Io, a total new creation, the love of Perseus in the movie. That was far too different from the myth! Anyway, it's a movie, they have every right to write it differently. So, yeah, I enjoyed the movie still. Enjoyed watching Sam Worthington waving his sword. :D *Drools*

Green Zone

Watched this with Andrew, his favorite kind of movie, a must-watch to him. Hahaha. I had no idea what the movie was all about. All I know was Matt Damon is the leading actor. LOL. The moment I sat in the cinema and the movie started, ahh...... A war-time movie.

Did the American government lie? Are there really Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) in Iraq? Have they found it? Are the lives that we lost in the Iraq war all in vain? The war is about nothing but the precious resources in Iraq? We do not know. We will never know the answers.

I wonder what the Americans would think after watching the movie. Anti-America?

Putting all the questions and controversies aside, it was a good movie. Great plot! Nice story.

The Underland. The Wonderland.

Before everything else, an official big "Hello again" to my precious Fish Avenue. Things are bad at work, I was pretty sad for the past 3 weeks or so. All my brain cells have been channeled to problem-solving, not much left literature purposes. LOL! Luckily managed to watch a movie or two.

First time watching movie with colleagues, a Movie Treat the company's Sports Club (aka myself) organised for all of us. But only 7 of us went.

The last time I watched Alice in Wonderland, the cartoon version, I think I was probably 10-ish. Now to see Alice in Wonderland in real person version, I couldn't help but feel excited. The only uncomfortable thing was that I was going to watch it without Andrew.

The story was about the grown-up Alice was back in Wonderland to rescue it from the Red Queen. There was a lot of conversations and sometimes they talked in funny phrases or words, you have to really pay attention to understand them well. There was some action scenes too, which made it not so boring. But please don't expect it to be an action-packed movie, it is not. I've heard people saying that the movie was so-so because not much of actions in it. Come one, it's a fantasy movie, Alice in Wonderland! The name says it all. I wonder if they've watched/read Alice in Wonderland before! LOL! Johnny Depp is still as awesome as ever.

If you love magic, fantasy and all sorts of weirdness, you MUST watch it. Make sure you bring your curiosity along, you need a lot of curiosity to believe what you see in the movie. Alice in Wonderland is not for those who seek for actions.

From Paris With Love

Yeah, so much of love, in Paris. Hahaha. Just one glance at the title, I dare bet almost everybody would think that it is a romance movie, including myself. :) Again, Andrew was the one who wanted to watch it. I was okay to go along since there's John Travolta in it. :D There is another young man, good-looking chap, Jonathan Rhys Meyers. Hmm...... Looks familiar. Ahhh...... Hugo Boss Element commercial ad, does it ring a bell now? ;)

What a unique movie. Seeing John Travolta punching and killing people, that was awesome! But he looks young in the movie, I couldn't help but wondering if he has had something done to his wrinkle-free face. Well, you can't blame him. Of course he has to look at his best acting alongside such a young charming actor like Rhys Meyers. And Rhys Meyers, despite his handsome face, he could definitely act well.

There was not a boring moment in the movie, at least that's how I felt. The only bad thing is, everything moves too fast. It's like someone is trying to tell you a story with all the actions and moves until you don't get the chance to breathe and think about it. Also, John Travolta is trying too hard to impress the audiences (now Ethan Hunt of MI3 would look stupid in front of Charlie Wax). It was Rhys Meyers' character that pulls everything back to the reality.

From Paris With Love isn't the hottest movie. In fact I didn't hear anyone talking about it nor read it before the movie is in the cinema. If you like action-hero movies jam-packed with all the actions you could ever expect in a movie, you'll definitely love this movie just like Andrew does. Especially if you're a fan of "Swordfish". LOL!

Percy Jackson

Before Chinese New Year, I bought my first ever Percy Jackson book, Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. Saw a lot of its movie posters while I was in Taiwan. I didn't know what story it was until I got my hands on the book. It's all about the Olympian gods and the demigods. I've always loved Greek and Roman mythology, how could I miss out the Olympus then? :) Thought I could finish the book before I watched the movie.

When I turned on the first page, I got gloomy. The story was written in first person, "I, Percy Jackson......" :( It's funny that I don't mind reading blogs that's written in first person, but I do not choose/buy books that's written that way. Why? I do not know. I just feel funny and weird to read books written in "I".

Since I've bought the book, I just had to finish it. It took a little getting used to, the next thing I know, I could hardly put that book down. No fancy and big words, it is so simple and easy to understand. Then I realised, ah, it was meant for the children, dumb me. Hahahaha. The story was good enough, love the edgy side of Percy Jackson.

Went to watch the movie then 2 days ago. First, I was a bit surprised to see the "bigger" version of Percy by Logan Lerman. Percy from the book was only 12, this one on the screen looks 16 (Logan is 18 this year). Of course, this is the movie, not wholly based on the book. Then things got worse, most parts of the story have been changed. Grover isn't the shy and timid Grover, Annabeth isn't the wise and calm Annabeth, and Percy has become pretty arrogant and self-centered in the movie. How sad......

Half way through the movie, I had to tell myself to stop comparing it with the book, enjoy the movie! Hahahaha. Yup, it was still a good movie despite the distorted story from the book. Andrew was wondering how Luke stole the lightning bolt and why Zeus would suspect Percy, the movie didn't explain it well. However, we still enjoyed the movie. Andrew even said "it was better than Harry Potter". LOL! He is never a HP fan. :)

If you want to watch Percy Jackson, better watch it before you read the book. It isn't good to have a "book" in your mind while watching the movie. If you have read the book, make sure you erase all the Percy Jackson shadows in your mind before you enter the cinema. :D

One thumb up to Percy Jackson the movie, and 2 thumbs up for the book.

I went to Kinokuniya wanted to buy the other 4 books of Percy Jackson series (there are 5 of them in total), which I've seen few weeks ago when I bought The Lightning Thief. Good grief, they're all out of stock! It's gonna take 2 to 3 months to replenish! Oh my, my, my...... Gotta try my luck in other bookstore. Sob, sob.

Now, let's see some Percy power! Yay!

P. S. : Waiting impatiently for Clash of the Titans!

Legion

At last, watched Legion last night with Andrew. Wanted to watch it long time ago, but was so busy after the trip. Fortunately it is still in cinema.

I was so looking forward to it. The trailer looked promising. I had faith that it was going to be a good movie. Especially when I saw all those angel's wings flying all over the screen. Andrew was also wow-ing at those gigantic black wings! LOL! We were full of faith, until last night. :(

The movie was okay, Paul Bettany looks cool. He never fails to impress the audiences with his unique look, bad or good guy, you're just gonna love him. But he was trying too hard to look charming in the movie, what a big spoiler. Lucas Black, again I found this man familiar, it was later only I found out he is the guy from The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. His acting sucks in Legion. The rest of the cast? Not worth to mention. Oh, there's another one, same old Dennis Quaid. LOL! Been seeing him in lots of movie lately.

The story was lousy though. There were a few parts where I almost fell asleep with their oh-so-intellectual conversations. I kept asking Andrew "why do they have to talk so much". I guess the director/script writer treat us as some kind of kids, they have to explain every little details to us. Funny is, they left one important thing unexplained. Why her? There must be so many single ladies got pregnant before marriage, why must it be her? Who's the father of the child? Is he special? I'm not sure if the director did it for some reason for not disclosing that. For the sequel? Perhaps. But no history on the pregnant lady, that just confused people. The armor that the Archangel Michael and Gabriel were wearing, in the movie, that was so gladiator-like! Geez...... And how funny it is when Michael referred to himself as a general of an army in the movie. *Faints* All of a sudden, the "heaven" has become some sort of invincible kingdom and the angels have become the warriors.

Andrew said, "the earth is like a playground to the God in the movie. He keeps the mankind alive when He's in the mood and just exterminates everybody when He thinks He has lost His faith. Haha." But he still thinks the movie is good. Hahaha. I just couldn't believe that God could lose His faith on human. Lost His patience, yes. But faith? And He couldn't do it and has to send a bunch of macho angels to be the assassins.

I am not a God believer, but I understand that if God ever exists, He would never lose His faith. If He could ever lose His faith on us, how are we going to have faith in Him again? Correct me if I'm wrong.

If you just want to get entertained by Paul Bettany's look, go ahead and enjoy yourself. If you're looking for some butt-kicking actions, be my guest. If you're looking for some intellectual inspirations from the movie, you may want to think twice.

I still love Paul Bettany with wings. LOL! Oh, and also his jacket in the movie! Ooooohhhhh......

Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant

Saw the trailer of the movie last month, kept bugging Andrew that I wanted to watch it when it was on the big screen. LOL! I have a thing for vampires, curses and demons (it's purely for entertainment, I'm not practicing any demonic act or research on becoming a vampire :P ). But surprisingly the Twilight series don't seem to make its way to my heart. I did not watch any of the Twilight movies, not even read the books.

This movie caught my eyes because there was this Cirque Du Freak that I have read so often in books and magazines. The bearded lady, wolf-man, Siamese twins, dwarfs, the giant, snake-man...... They're all freakingly freaky. I don't think I have the guts to go see it if the circus was real.

The movie was about Darren Shan, who stole the spider Madam Octa from the vampire Crepsley, and then got himself turned into a vampire just to save his best friend Steve's life. A 200 year-old truce between 2 clans of vampires were broken because of one boy.

John Reilly looks familiar to me, perhaps I've seen him in some movies but I can't recall which ones. He isn't the handsome man type, but he did look good in this vampire character! Middle-aged but charming. The leading actor who played Darren Shan is even more stranger to me. The only person that I could recognise from the movie was Josh Hutcherson, who played Steve. If you've watched Zathura, Bridge to Therabithia and the recent Journey to the Center of the Earth, you could recognise him right away. I just couldn't believe that he has grown so much.

I enjoyed the movie, but I don't think Andrew had a good time. Could see his boring face throughout the movie and his face didn't even twitch while I was laughing so hard. Hahahaha......

It's a funny and interesting movie. Worth to watch.

Sherlock Holmes

The last movie I watched in year 2009, was Avatar (2D). Then I watched Avatar 3D on the first day of 2010 with Andrew. Not much different between the 2D and 3D, sometimes the 3D looked blur and both Andrew and I felt a little bit of dizziness watching the 3D. The movie was absolutely awesome!

Before the Avatar 3D, Sherlock Holmes was my first movie of the year. Got the early bird tickets at RM9 each. Watched it on the 1st of January morning, the very first movie.

I've not read any of Sherlock Holmes books, nor am I a fan of Sherlock Holmes. But I am a fan of Robert Downey Jr. and a small-time fan of Jude Law. :) Downey is charming in his own way, while Jude Law is charming in every way. But I was shocked to see Jude Law appeared to be older than his age in the movie, sometimes even looked older than Downey. That certainly did not do him any justice.

Guess I expected too much of the film and I was disappointed. The movie was good, but the story seems to be a little boring. Before Sherlock Holmes could finally explain all the seem-to-be supernatural incidents, I was already guessing that all of them were some man-made plots. Did I read/watch too much of those detectives books/movies that I could now analyse things in a different way? Hahaha. I have no idea.

Love the sense of humor of Sherlock Holmes, and his weird behavior and also the way he lived not by the common rules. We were all taught to abide by the rules and sometimes we miss out a lot of fun from not following the rules. Don't get me wrong, I'm not asking you to break the rules. Just once in a blue moon, we have to break ourselves away from this common world, from what everybody seems to be doing the common things. Not thinking the same as everyone else does, think out of the box, walk the path that least traveled by others...... Not many of us could do that, and when someone could, we always see them as a freak or weirdo. Imagine if everybody were to think like Sherlock Holmes, his rules then would become the common rules, what seems to be common now would be the weird. That would be cool, huh? :D

I wonder if there would be any sequel to this movie.

Avatar - The Rising Star

I didn't know about the movie until I saw the trailer while sitting in the cinema waiting to watch the movie 2012. Since then, I could read about its news almost everyday and everywhere. It is James Cameron's another billion dollars golden movie. No one could or would have missed it. Just like the Titanic 1998.

As usual, am not going to write the whole story of the movie, you could get the full length story in Wikipedia. James Cameron is so creative and talented. I wonder how he came up with the story. You have to have wild and great imaginations to write such a beautiful story and characters.

I couldn't take my eyes off the screen, not even for 1 second. How long since the last time I enjoyed such a great movie? There wasn't a single boring moment in Avatar. Everything looked so fantasy yet so real. There were times I felt that the Na'vi is real and we human aren't.

The movie once again shows that human is cruel and greedy. We only take, but never give.

I'm going to watch the movie again, to soak myself in the fantasy world of Pandora again. To SEE the Na'vi again. "I SEE YOU."

2012

The most anticipated movie is finally here. I personally think that most of us love all these armageddon movies. Guess deep down inside, there's this part of us wanting to look for some comfort and heroes-of-the-day in the movies.

When I saw that man in the movie, I thought "can't be him, he's not this old and fat". I managed to convince myself that it is NOT him in 2012 movie. Didn't look at the cast and credits at the end of the movie, I finally checked out the cast on the web. Gosh, it IS him in the movie!!! John Cusack!!! When did he become so fat and old?! I still remember the lean and charming John Cusack in "Being John Malkovich" and "Con Air". But now...... :( Of course we all grow old, and Con Air was 10 years ago. Sigh...... I myself am fat and old too. Hahahaha......

The movie, I guess it did leave some impact in all of us who watched it. If I remember it right, there was a news about the rich will be travelling to the space in some space craft. It's going to be some kind of "vacation trip". There's a price to it, only the filthy rich can afford it. I wonder if it is something similar to the arrangement in 2012 movie. I just can't help but think that way.

The only thing I think differently from the movie plot is, the destruction of mankind would not be caused by some solar flare. We are the ones who bring the end of the day upon ourselves. The depletion of resources, the global warming, the imbalance of food chain...... Just like what has been shown in the video HOME which I've blogged about earlier.

With all these cataclysm movies going on, supposingly it should create some kind of awareness among us. But look around us, not many of us are bothered with the environment. People are still taking things for granted, that the mother Earth could never go empty or sick.

It is so easy for us to start that little step that could make a big difference. Don't use plastic bag when you go shopping, recycle the plastic bottles, don't print your documents if it could be read on the computer, off the lights or switch off the appliances that are not in use, wash your clothes in bulk...... The list could go on and on. How many of us are really aware of doing them in our daily lives?

Sometimes I feel helpless when I see the people around me wasting the resources without feeling guilty or remorse. They normally shrug it off with a reply "never mind lah". Sometimes, I myself have forgotten too. Holding a plastic bag in my hand and realised it only much later, often left me with a tinge of regret.

Enough of my craps. Let's watch some trailer. :)

Whiteout. Blackout.

Friday night, Andrew off at 8pm. I didn't want to stay in the office, so I decided to go KLCC. Told him would like to watch a movie and I'd buy the tickets first. Geez... The traffic was terrible and horrible. The streets were packed with vehicles!!! I was at the crossroad outside of KLCC. I couldn't cross the street even when the pedestrian light was green! The cars and buses and motorbikes just coming from everywhere, ignoring the red lights!!! What in the world has gone wrong? The cars weren't moving and that supposed to be easy to cross. I was wrong! Shocked and didn't want to risk my life, I took the longer way. Walked to the Avenue K and used the tunnel to KLCC. Pretty exhausted when I reached. Didn't buy the movie tickets, seeing the mad traffic I was afraid Andrew couldn't make it to KLCC on time.

Anyway, there he was in KLCC around 8.30pm. With no idea of what Whiteout was all about, we were sitting in the smallest cinema in TGV KLCC, with only like 4 rows of audiences. LOL!

Kate Beckinsale looks stunning as usual. Love her hair. Don't think I'd look as chic as her with that hair style. Tried that few months back, looked weird and old-fashioned. Hahaha.

The movie was OK. Not great, but watchable. The story-line was a bit messy though. At times it kind of annoyed me what it was trying to tell. Actually that was the suspense! I must say that the director/producer is pretty good at keeping the audiences suspended for such a long time! At the end of the movie, it only revealed what everything was all about. It would definitely put the "ahhh... ohhh..." on your mouth. :) Imagine you have no idea what it was from the very beginning until the very end. Half way through the movie, Andrew asked me, "what is this movie all about? Aliens or monsters?" LOL! I told him to "watch the movie and that is the reason why we are here".

Pandorum

I am supposed to stay home for the day to finish the photo-editing. But it is so hard to refrain myself from going out to have some fun during the weekend! Especially when one of my many commitments is to spend more time with my BFF. :)

Few days ago Phoebe asked me to go to her friend's house to have steamboat dinner. This morning they changed their mind, we went for a movie instead. Pandorum? What movie is that? Checked it out on the web, didn't really understand the synopsis and the trailer. It looked so confusing to me. Guess we just had to watch it to understand it. LOL! All we know is that it is a sci-fi horror movie. Oh ya, starring Dennis Quaid. :) The only actor in the movie that I am familiar with.

So, there we were, going for a movie that we did not know what to expect. That was kind of exciting though, if you get what I mean. The Pandorum in the movie wasn't referring to the mutated creatures, but it was a kind of psychological syndrome. Everything happened on a space ship where people were trapped inside together with some unknown creatures. Not knowing what was on the outside, people were struggling to survive on the ship. I am not going to tell you how those people ended up on a space ship without knowing where they were. You'll just have to find out on your own, IF you're interested. :)

After all, it's not a bad movie. All the actions and suspense won't leave you feeling bored. However, it's a pity that the movie just couldn't send the message across. You'll be leaving the cinema thinking of the actions and creatures, but not the mother Earth. And it kind of sent the wrong message at the end, that we will have the second chance, second home to live in when our mother Earth couldn't support us anymore. All we have to do is look harder for other planet to migrate to. We human should be responsible for what we've done to this planet, protect it and save it from destruction. Not seeking other planet to substitute it and continue our abusive act on other planets!

I seriously feel and think that we will be having our end-of-the-world soon. I may not live to see the day to come. But I believe our next generation, or perhaps next next generation... will be having the "honour" to witness it. Unless we/they are capable enough to save the world.

Surrogacy

It was Friday, I have a bunch of photos waiting for me to sprinkle some magic. Yet I went for a movie. LOL! Wanted to go on Wednesday, but Andrew was working late.

We were indecisive of which movie to watch. Andrew asked me what I wanted to watch actually. My one-million answer, "I want to see Bruce Willis." Hahahahahaha...... Surrogates it was!

The movie was a good one. Didn't really expect the story would be going in such an interesting way. The core of it may seem to be a little of old-fashioned, but it managed to send a clear message across to the audience. We human, have to live our own lives, in our own way. Face it, live it.

Bruce Willis looked so young in that robot body!!! I wonder how they did it! Make up? Computer effect? But he looks so handsome, both young and old! Gosh, I can imagine the girls all went ga-ga for him!!! Hahahahaha. My jaw dropped open and I couldn't close it for like 5 seconds when he first appeared on the screen! The charm, the look, the body...... Geez...... Bruce Willis did it again, with his charm. :p

Enjoy the movie. It is definitely worth to watch!

Rain Man 1988

The title of this post looks weird, isn't it? Rain Man? Man in the rain? Raining Men sang by Geri Halliwell and The Weather Girls?

It's none of the above. It is a movie released in year 1988, starring Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise. Surprised? I must say although the movie received many awards, not many know about the movie.

1988, I was only 8 years old, how did I get to know about it? Certainly I didn't watch the movie at that age. I watched it much later, perhaps when I was 16 or 17. Since then, the movie has been my favorite, on the top of my favorite movies list.

Rain Man is a slow paced movie. Some people may find it boring. But there are also a lot of depths in it. Dustin Hoffman played so well as an autistic man. Tom Cruise was a delicious young man in that movie.

Why is it my favorite? I'm not pretty sure it is Tom Cruise or the movie itself. LOL! But I love the movie. How the 2 brothers interact with each other and how their love for each other grew day by day. You would definitely shed some tears watching the movie. There are a lot of scenes that would make you laugh too of course. :)

I can't remember the movie very well now. I've only watched it once. Can't believe I fell in love with it the first time I watched it. Am going to find the movie and watch it again. Gosh... A 21 years movie. I love a 21 year-old movie??? LOL! I don't know what you would think of that. Hahahahaha......

Enjoy the trailer, for now. :)

吓到笑。Where Got Ghost.
