Right or Love?

This is a long article, which a friend forwarded it to me. I've received this before, years ago. But I guess I couldn't really understand the meaning of it back then. Now to read it all over again with my not-so-new-yet-not-so-long-ago married status, I could finally connect myself with it and see it in a whole new light.

I do not know who wrote this. Please write to me know if you happen to know the original author/writer, as I do not want to take credit from sharing this without crediting the person properly.

DID I MARRY THE RIGHT PERSON?
During one of our seminars, a woman asked a common question. She said, "how do I know if I married the right person?" I noticed that there was a large man sitting next to her so I said, "it depends. Is that your husband?" In all seriousness, she answered, "how do you know?" Let me answer this question because the chances are good that it's weighing on your mind. Here's the answer. EVERY relationship has a cycle. In the beginning, you fell in love with your spouse. You anticipated their call, wanted their touch, and liked their idiosyncrasies. Falling in love with your spouse wasn't hard. In fact, it was a completely natural and spontaneous experience. You didn't have to do anything. That's why it's called "falling" in love... Because it's happening to you. People in love sometimes say, "I was swept off my feet." Think about the imagery of that expression. It implies that you were just standing there, doing nothing, and then something came along and happened to you.

Falling in love is easy. It's a passive and spontaneous experience. But after a few years of marriage, the euphoria of love fades. It's the natural cycle of EVERY relationship. Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome (when it happens), and your spouse's idiosyncrasies, instead of being cute, drive you nuts. The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship, but if you think about your marriage, you will notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love and a much duller or even angry subsequent stage. At this point, you and/or your spouse might start asking, "Did I marry the right person?" And as you and your spouse reflect on the euphoria of the love you once had, you may begin to desire that experience with someone else. This is when marriages breakdown. People blame their spouse for their unhappiness and look outside their marriage for fulfillment. Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes. Infidelity is the most obvious. But sometimes people turn to work, a hobby, a friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances. But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your marriage. It lies within it. I'm not saying that you couldn't fall in love with someone else. You could. And TEMPORARILY you'd feel better. But you'd be in the same situation a few years later. Because (listen carefully to this), "THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON, IT'S LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND."

SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. It'll NEVER just happen to you. You can't "find" LASTING love. You have to "make" it day in and day out. That's why we have the expression "the labor of love." Because it takes time, effort and energy. And most importantly, it takes WISDOM. You have to know WHAT TO DO to make your marriage work. Make no mistake about it. Love is NOT a mystery. There are specific things you can do (with or without your spouse) to succeed with your marriage. Just as there are physical laws of the universe (such as gravity), there are also laws for relationships. Just as the right diet and exercise program makes you physically stronger, certain habits in your relationship WILL make your marriage stronger. It's a direct cause and effect. If you know and apply the laws, the results are predictable... you can "make" love. Love in marriage is indeed a "decision"... Not just a feeling.

Remember this always, "God determines who walks into your life. It is up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go."

THE END

There are some points above that I agree and disagree.

EVERY relationship has a cycle, that I agree. From falling in love, to passionately in love, to romance, to settling down and all of a sudden, the passion simmers down. Every couple ends up in a quiet and steady relationship. What's next? Either they got married or they don't, or they break up and move on with others to begin with another whole new cycle.

What I do not agree is that, there is never a dull moment in my relationship with Andrew. Quiet, perhaps. But it is never dull. We have quarrelled and had fights (eventhough most of the times I was the one who got angry :P), I wouldn't say that it's dull.

I have questioned myself before, should I marry him? But I have never questioned about "is he the one". There's no doubt that he's the one, as I do not want any other guy. I have had other choices, but I stick to what I have chosen in the first place. Be it better or worse, I've made my choice. And never there's a moment I question "did I marry the right person". If I ever should have any doubt, that should come before I stepped into the marriage ground (or some may like to call it grave :)) Since I am now in it, I'd better make sure I work every sweat and blood I have to make it work and last!

If you know me well enough, you should know that I am a very committed person, both at work and in personal life. Once I set my head into doing something, I'll make sure I reach the goal that I desire. The keyword here is, I desire. If I desire to go to the end of it, I'll do whatever I could to achieve it, not even my friends/family could stop me. Or if I desire to stop it now, nothing could have changed my mind. Some said that I am as stubborn as a rock, and even rock can break sometimes, but not me. LOL! Committed or stubborn? I don't know. You tell me.

I love this: "The key to succeeding in marriage is not finding the right person, it's learning to love the person you found." That is so true. It doesn't matter if Andrew is the right one, or not, I love him. And that is more than anything else. Isn't it? And I am still learning to love him the right way, it is a life-long lesson that's never going to end. He is the one that I refuse to let go all these years, I ain't going to let go in the future too.

If you wake up one day and realise that you've married the wrong person, please take a good look at the face of your spouse and tell yourself, he/she is the one you found and chose, it was your decision, learn to love him/her!

I'm in the labor of love, each and every day. :)

Concerned

Few months back, when the A(H1N1) was spreading its wings of madness across Mexico and United States, none of us in Asia could be much bothered about it. Early of June, the wind has finally brought the fearsome evil to our region. Australia, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia...... People started getting panicked, face masks in pharmacies were being wiped clean from the shelves. However, one month down the road, it seemed like the people here are no longer so concerned about it. Life goes on a usual. Seriously, I've been to Suria KLCC and cinemas a few times, no one seems to be so afraid of the virus now.

Another death case in Malaysia on Monday, the first local transmission death. The infected cases has gone to 1219. Still, none of us seems to be concerned!

H1N1 Getting Worse - The Star Online
Updated: 4th Death in Malaysia - The Star Online

Mom called me yesterday, telling me that father was scolding me why I went to Singapore at this time. LOL! Well, situation in Malaysia is bad enough, why are they only worrying when I was in Singapore? You see. I guess the news in Malaysia isn't transparent enough. The people are getting the wrong signal that it is no big a deal.

You should be more aware of your surroundings from now on. This isn't a small deal anymore. Please consult the doctor the moment you have coughs and sorethroat. Treating illnesses from an early stage is definitely way way way better than treating it late! Eat healthily, have enough of sleep, try to avoid crowded places if possible, or wear a mask......

Hmm...... I shall make lesser trips to shopping mall, guess I shall cut all the movie trips too. :(

Now I have one more excuse to ask Andrew to fetch me home after work, taking that crowded train isn't "safe". Hahahaha. Shall buy a box of mask, just in case.

Well, Andrew and I are going to take the flight back to KT 2 weeks later, guess we shall wear a mask then. Better safe than sorry! And, we must be social responsible!

Updated: With the 4th death and more schools closed and more infected cases, people, you ought to take this seriously. It's no longer as harmless and simple as we thought.

The Half-Blood Prince

By looking at the title you must have already know what I'm going to blog about.

Yep, last night Andrew and I went for a movie. He wanted to watch The Taking of Pelham 123, but I wanted to watch Harry Potter. Well, Andrew said he didn't mind to watch Harry Potter. So, Harry Potter that is. :) Gosh, I got a shock when the ticketing fella told us the price, RM24 for 2 tickets!!! Geezzzzzz...... Okay, it's my fault, that I forgot Harry Potter was just on the big screen last week! Should have watched the other movie first.

After we bought the ticket, there was still a 45-minute time to spare. I was craving for KFC since 2 days ago when the OLD hot & spicy flavour was back. Haha. Off we went to KFC. When we were in the line, I saw a guy which looked kind of familiar. Then, something came to my mind and I shot Andrew a is-it-him look! Affirmative, it was him!!! It was Qi (it is only now I remember his name, I forgot about his name last night when I saw him)! Qi is the host to few of local TV shows, such as Destinasi Bajet and Field Trip. Recently he starred in a new TV drama, Blogger Boy, as Budi. He isn't really a famous artist, yet. That's why not many would recognise him on the street. Andrew and I could recognise him as we had watched few of Destinasi Bajet before and we kind of love the way he presented in the show. And the recent drama Blogger Boy on 8TV, we do watch it too. :D Surprised that I support local production? Don't, 'cause I've been watching local productions all this while. Another thing worth to mention, Qi wasn't alone. He was holding hand with this girl. When I took a good look, gosh, that girl is also one of the cast in Blogger Boy! They're so in love! LOL!

Back to Harry Potter. :) Well, I wouldn't go into the details of the movie. I am very disappointed with the movie. It's lengthy, too much conversations and I would say, it's somewhat boring. The focus was on the romance of Harry and Ron and Hermione. To me, it's like watching a teenage movie, no longer all magickal and mysteries. The fun and magic in Harry Potter the movie are waning. There's no surprises anymore. But, I did get a few good laughs from the movie, when Ron did or said those silly things. :)

I've seen people said the book is much more insteresting and there were a few good scenes weren't in the movie. I'm not a big fan of Harry Potter, and I have never had the faintest interest in reading the books. One of the reason being, I know there would be a movie, I know to go into the cinema after you've read the books is not at all a good idea. So, I'd rather skip the books and wait for the movie. However, for this time, I'd say it's disappointed me. Anyway, not to dwell more in the disappointment of it. Some people out there still think that it's a great movie though. :) Individual preferences, again.

Ok. That's it. Enough of Potter.

I'm so excited now, going to Singapore this evening. I'm going with Wan Yi, well, more of like following her since she's going back home. Andrew isn't going with me, he has yet to renew his passport and he has to work during the weekend. It's ok, as long as I've got Wan Yi, I don't mind travelling without him. LOL!

I'm sorry that I have not put up any photos from last weekend. I have been busy and tried to get some rest by reading some books. So sorry.

An Urge That's Gone Too Long

Well, it's weird...... Something that is very strange about Ashley recently. I'm not sure if you guys noticed.

The last dress I bought was in May, until now I have not bought any clothes! And I hardly blog about shopping or hunting for clothes anymore. My shopaholic side has left me!!! Looking back, all I shop now is skincare, lens, books and food......

Is this a good thing? Suddenly I miss my impulsive shopping nature.

I should feel proud of myself, I managed to refrain myself from spending unnecessarily. Another reason being I do not have extra money to spend with. LOL!

But, I'm going to Singapore this weekend! Hahaha. 2 missions in Singapore. 1st is to visit our sweet Adeline since I haven't seen her for almost a year!!! 2nd is to "shoot" her! Hahahahaha...... I'm feeling so excited about meeting and shooting her. It would be fun since she's such a cheerful and bubbly lady. And I miss talking to her. She will go on and on and you'll never feel bored around her. Hahaha. Ade, please don't kill me. :P

I shall not spend too much in Singapore. Hopefully SGD200 is more than enough!

July is a busy month, then August is play time! Gathering with friends, a trip back to Terengganu and a trip to Redang...... I can't wait!!!

Oh, not forgetting a pregnancy photoshoot with a lovely friend. :) She's such an angel, a nice lady which I've never heard her cursing or saying bad words. LOL! Unlike me, I'm no angel. Hahahaha......

What? The urge? Oh damn...... See, I'm way off the topic again......

I Love You

I've been taking Andrew for granted for quite some time. How do I know? Umm... I just know.

He has been spoiling me. Not with gifts and presents, but with love. So much of love to the extent that I take it all for granted, I think I deserve it and he should be doing that. Which is wrong, awfully wrong. But sometimes I just can't help it. I just want that little extra attention. Okay, it's not LITTLE. Yes, I'm greedy, I can never get enough of attention. I'd get annoyed if he wasn't paying attention when I was talking. I'd get pissed off when he couldn't spend more time with me. I'd get upset if he didn't want to talk to me. I'd get mad if he didn't hold my hand. Am I too demanding? Perhaps I am. 'Cause I never heard him demanding the same thing from me. LOL.

As I've said earlier, good wife or not, it isn't for me to say or judge. If Andrew feels that I am a good wife, that is more than enough. What other people say no longer matters. Imagine this, your husband telling you that you're a BAD wife but the rest of the world is saying that you're a great wife. What's the point? Well, you're married to your husband, not to the world. If he thinks you're good, you're good. You don't need a second opinion. :)

Now I am not sure if I've loved him back equally. Perhaps not enough. We love people the way we want and choose to. But we never think if that's the way he/she wants it.

So, shall I go back home today and ask Andrew "how do you want me to love you"? Hahaha. He would get the shock of his life and probably think that I'm having one of those 'moments' again. Hahahahahaha......

I was listening to this song yesterday while I was travelling in the train, I Love The Way You Love Me, Boyzone. Now I just feel like singing it out loud. :D

I'm blogging about this not for the reading of my husband, Andrew (I wonder if he does read my blog). It's not because I want to please him or make him feels better. Or maybe you'll think I'm showing off. Whatever it is, it doesn't bother me anymore. I write what I feel and think. :) As some of you may have already know, Ashley doesn't blog to please the readers.

I like the feel of your name on my lips
And I like the sound of your sweet gentle kiss
The way that your fingers run through my hair
And how your scent lingers even when you're not here

And I like the way your eyes dance when you laugh
And how you enjoy your two-hour bath
And how you've convinced me to dance in the rain
With everyone watching like we were insane

But I love the way you love me
Strong and wild, slow and easy
Heart and soul
So completely
I love the way you love me

And I like the sound of old R 'n' B
And you roll your eyes when I'm sloppily off key
And I like the innocent way that you cry
At sappy old movies you've seen thousands of times

And I could list a million things
I love to like about you
But they could all come down to one reason
I could never live without you

Okay, time for lunch.

Backdate, Update, Today!

For the past 2 days, I did not have the time to log in here and blog what was actually happening.

Saturday, had a photoshoot session with a friend and his girlfriend. It was one of my free portraits that I've given out 2 months ago. Finally, we decided to go to Putrajaya. The weather was good and sunny, but damn it was so hazy! It was even worse in Putrajaya. Anyway, we went on with the photoshoot.

Stanley is such a friendly person. We were school mate in secondary school, both of us studied in the same college but different school, he was in School of Techonology while I was in School of Business Studies. We weren't in contact with each other for quite some time. It was early of this year that we started to get back in contact.

Stanley is so cool! He isn't camera-shy at all. Lynne is quite photogenic, without the make-up and all that, she could still look pretty good. :) It was a fun day. We finished off around 11.30am and Stanley took us to Klang to have Bak Kut Teh (porks cooked with some herbs). If you like Bak Kut Teh, Klang is definitely the place you want to go.

After our satisfying lunch, Stanley sent Lynne home as she wasn't feeling very well, and he brought me to Setial Alam to see all the show houses they have there! Gosh...... Setia Alam is so big!!! We went around the show village, seen about 7 or 8 show houses, then I told him I gotta run. I've promised Wan Yi to follow her to Genting Highlands! Hahaha.

Gosh, I reached home around 4pm, had a quick shower, changed, make-up a little then I rushed out. They were actually waiting for me downstairs in the cafe, playing monopoly!

Reached Genting, wow, the air... so cooling and refreshing. We were having coffee in Coffee Bean, at the open air area, enjoying the chilling wind. Well, guess we aren't as strong as we thought we were. 15 minutes sitting in the wind, we decided to go back in as all of us were shivering! LOL! Playing monopoly while sipping ice-blended coffee and eating the muffins...... Hahahaha......

After chilling in Genting, we came down and went to Klang to have supper. Yes, as you may aware, I went to Klang 2 times in a day! The supper was nice!

I got home around 2am, Andrew was sound asleep. After transfering all the photos to my lappie, it was almost 3am.

The next day would be having a photoshoot with Vivian and her mates in Taman Tun Park. I'll talk about it later, let's not spam this post with too much of I-don't-even-understand. :)

Photos will be up later. I need some break and I'll be finishing off some translation works for the coming few days. Please bear some patience with me. Sorry.

Wednesday Blue

So, there I was, watching Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs with Phoebe. Didn't have a good start in the morning, decided to go for a movie to give my mood a little lift.

Before the movie started, I went to Kinokuniya to grab some book. Sorry, not some book, wanted to buy the Tribute to Michael Jackson, Passion magazine. I was roaming around in the bookstore, wanting to buy some other book to reach my yearly quota. Hahaha. Yes, I am so going to spend RM1000 this year on books!!! So that I could get tax relief for that. LOL. Yeah, I'd rather spend extra on myself than paying extra for taxes. I've already paid enough! Imagine all the import taxes on all the books, clothes, cosmetics, skincare, and many more!!!

Hey, something caught my eyes in the bookstore. They are together with the stacks of "Twilight". I've never seen that story book before. It's called Night World. There are 3 of them, each of them with 3 stories inside. What's more, it's only RM29.90 for the first book!!!

With 2 books in hand, I went to the counter. I got 28% off the MJ book. I didn't know that was considered a BOOK and not magazine. Anyway, happy that I got the discount. :)

Ok, enough with the books. Ice Age that is. It's a great movie, I enjoyed watching it. But I guess my mind were somewhere else and I wasn't paying full attention to the movie. There were a few times I realised everyone around me was laughing hysterically while I was not! And when I realised that, I literally faked it and forced myself to laugh with the rest. LOL. Of course there were times I really found it funny. I wonder what happened to me that night.

After the movie, while waiting for Andrew to come pick me up, I went to Isetan and sent my sterling silver necklace and pendant for polishing. Just when I thought I was feeling great after the movie, someone just had to upset it again. The new sales assistant obviously didn't know the polishing process, ended up my white pearl has got a tint of purple. He didn't even apologise to me, it was the other nice lady from the other counter who kept on apologising on his behalf. So the pendant was sent for servicing. :( Oh well, I shouldn't get more upset over such small thing.

Anyway, I'm still happy that I got a new book to read. My short term goal now is, make myself lost in between the pages of all the books. I was joking to a friend, I am now "chasing" books. Hahaha. I never really know that reading can make one self suddenly feels so intellectual, now I am feeling it. I have 6 books waiting for me! Gosh, when did I buy so many?!

Comics

I was pretty upset this morning...... Yep, early morning I was already feeling pissed and annoyed. I wonder if it is me or them, do they like to piss me off because I am such a bad person that they simply want to get on my nerves??? ARGH!

It's been quite a while I didn't check out my friend's website, decided to go in and take a look. His website is all about comics that he draws. Yes, he is a graphic designer, drawing comics is his interest and passion. Have a look here. But sorry that it's in Chinese.

After seeing his comics, I feel better now. Hahaha. It really did give me a lift of mood.

Hmm...... Should I wait for Andrew to watch Ice Age 3 or go with my friend tonight???

Random #1

I do not know what to write. Hahaha. I was back at home with my family last weekend. I was so lazy that I did not go out and meet any of my friends. Brought my camera back, but it was sleeping in the bag and didn't get to do what it is supposed to do. LOL! Can you believe that I did not take a single photo over the weekend?! That is something new to me, if not for you. :P

This week onwards, I wouldn't get to rest over the weekend. I'll either be doing photoshooting or having fun. LOL. July and August are going to be fun, fun, fun!

About my photography, I'm taking small and steady steps. Hopefully with the coming assignments, I could do better then.

iPhone 3GS is coming soon!!! I asked Andrew if he'd be getting it, he said nope. Hahahahaha. I wonder if Maxis would offer to the current iPhone owners a plan for trade-in like what they have in the States. LOL. Ashley, you gotta stop thinking that and stop spending!

News about Michael Jackson are still everywhere. His sister, Latoya, is now saying MJ was murdered. Gosh...... What's next?

I still miss him though. Saw his HIStory concert while I was having dinner with Andrew last Sunday, in a Mamak restaurant. My jaws dropped open so wide when I saw him dancing. Dancing and singing were in his blood, no doubt about that. The way he moved was just amazing and so natural. MJ made dancing looks as easy as drinking water.

That reminds me of something. Gotta go grab some DVDs and CDs of MJ. Original of course. :) Andrew was joking that since he is now dead, there's no reason to support his originals. LOL! What a good theory.

Going to KLCC tonight? To go or not to go??? Hmmm......

P.S: Why do I miss MJ so much? Geez......

English or Bahasa Malaysia???

Years ago, when the local government announced all Maths and Science classes in schools would be taught in English, to improve the quality of English level in the country. A lot of disagreed voices were raised back then.

And now, government decided to use Bahasa Malaysia for Maths and Science classes. Disagreement from the public is even more obvious now.

Do you agree or disagree? Cast your vote here, at Tun Mahathir's blog.

iPhone Review #3

3 months into using iPhone. Ashley, Ashley, are you getting bored with it already? LOL. No, hell no. I still love every bit of it. The applications, the games, the videos, the map, the internet...... All working so well. No regrets. About the myth that some people told me I'd ditch it after 2 months of using it, to me, that is just a myth.

I use iPhone for a lot of internet browsing. Checking the news, Youtube, blogging, Facebook-ing...... And with the new OS3.0, I can now do internet tethering!!! Did that when I was in Terengganu. The speed was ok since it's on 3G.

The copy and paste function is awesome. Also I can forward SMS now. I have yet to try the MMS.

There is a new applications now, voice recording. The voice recorded is so crisp and clear!

Sad that I still can't do video-recording. Sigh.

Someone told me, iPhone is very childish because she has seen some 16 year-old boy using it. LOL! And she has not seen teenagers using any BlackBerry. Hahaha. If the equation works that way, BlackBerry equals to an old-man's phone? For Matured Adults Only. LOL. Also, someone told me iPhone is hell complicated to use and the settings are all so troublesome. Well... One man's food could be another man's poison, as the saying goes.

No doubt, iPhone looks cheeky, sleek and more fun. Picture this, a very successful business man with all the macho hunky features, holding a sleek black iPhone, touching it with his index finger. Hahahaha. Instead, he's holding a black macho-like BlackBerry, pressing the buttons with his thumb. That looks way better.

Well, it all boils down to personal preferences again. If you hell love iPhone/BlackBerry, you'll love it doesn't matter if it goes well with your look. Am I right?

So, stop finding excuses for loving/hating that phone. You love it because you love it, and you hate it because you hate it. No excuse needed. ;)

Hey, when did my iPhone review became iPhone Vs. BlackBerry. Geez... I'm so off-topic!!!

Okay...... Back to iPhone. Now there's a new iPhone 3GS. I have not seen one here. The look isn't any different from the iPhone 3G, but 3GS can do video-recording, with 3MP camera. The speed is also supposed to be faster. If at all Maxis is going to get the 3GS, I bet Andrew is the next one owning iPhone. LOL!

That's all for now.

Michael Is Now Gone, For Real.

Ever since after his death, I felt that everyone was living in denial of his death. All the events that followed, were more like dramas for the whole world to see. His autopsy, his toxicology report, his will, his children's custodian, his burial service, his grave...... Everyone is so looking forward to see/read all that. Until his memorial service, we all just had to face the cold hard fact, that he is really gone. He is now only living in our memories, in our hearts.

Yesterday Andrew forwarded an email to me, inside it was full of photos from MJ's memorial service. When I saw the photo where MJ's daughter, Paris was being comforted by Janet Jackson, the emotions and the tears just hit me out of nowhere. Called me emotional or whatever. I am still feeling sad over his death. Why am I being so sad for some singer that I've never met before? I don't know, don't ask me. I'm not always like this, Heath Ledger died I didn't feel this way. Princess Diana died I didn't feel anything like this too.

We took MJ for granted. For all the years when he was still alive, all the news about him were of negativity. For most of the younger generations, those who are below 20 year-old or in their early twenties, would never bother to get to know more about Michael Jackson, about his songs, his materpieces...... My housemates for instance, they are all either 20 or 21. It is only after MJ's death that they started talking about him, browsing all his videos through Youtube, listening to his songs...... There was once I caught one of them watching MJ's concert on Youtube and his face was showing that he is in awed of MJ's moves! I couldn't help but laughed, thinking to myself, perhaps that was his first time seeing MJ's moon walk. LOL! I wonder if my children in the future would appreciate how great MJ was.

Of all his greatest songs, I love this one the most. It has always been in my head and sometimes, it would just come to my mind with no reason. Especially for the past 2 weeks, it's on my mind like almost every single day. Hahaha. Soak yourselves deep in the lyrics, you'll sure understand what they all mean and appreciate the way MJ sang it, right from his heart.

Man In The Mirror ~ Michael Jackson

Don't expect to see MJ in this music video, you'll be disappointed. Click and you'll know why.

The King of Pop is gone. But his name will always be remembered by all of us.

Hmm...... I wonder... If there are life in other planets, would they be listening to MJ and mourning his death too? LOL! I think too much.

Hectic Satisfied Weekend

Went back to Kuala Terengganu on last Thursday night. 6 hours of journey in the car, no kidding. That was with smooth traffic. Came back yesterday, started our journey at 4pm. Guess what, I only got home at 12.30am!!! The traffic was ok all the way until Karak Highway. The jam was horrendous!!! Geez......

3 days in Terengganu, can you believe that I did not take a single photo with my DSLR?! First day we were at home, catching some sleep. Second day, breakfast with Andrew's aunt and grandma then we were stuck in her house for the whole afternoon. I didn't even have to chance to go to the beach. :( And those deep fried snacks that I was so craving for... Didn't even get to smell it...... :(

I did have some durian though, mom-in-law kept asking me to eat, even brought it to my face. LOL! How could I resist the strong temptation. Hahaha. I didn't have much though, I knew I was getting heaty and if I ate more, for sure I'd fall sick.

I am sorry again for not posing any photos for now. Please stay tuned, this July is going to be a month full of photos. :)

Transformers

How could I not blog about my childhood favorite cartoon??!! I totally forgot about it until someone mentioned about the movie and I realised I have not blogged about it after I've watched the movie.

Transformers, the TV series, used to be my childhood favorite. Hahaha. My younger sister and I watched it pretty often, or whenever it was on the TV, every week without fail. Our favorite character and hero at that point of time, wasn't Bumblebee. Optimus Prime was our favorite, with his truck body. Well, Optimus Prime is still my favorite to this day. It's because of his colors, all the red and blue. LOL! Now I know why I love red and blue so much, even now!!! I still remember we had a few robotic toys of Optimus Prime. I guess mom/dad threw them away as we grew up and kind of like neglected those toys.

However, it's a shame to say that I hardly remember the TV cartoon series, except the music, the songs and the Autobot and Decepticon symbols. Hahaha. Perhaps I was too small to remember all those things. :P I bet my sister can't remember well too. I was so sad when Transformers was no longer on the TV, and the later series of Transformers were so distorted and so not-interesting.

When the Transformers movie came out in 2007, I was so thrilled! Never would I have thought that I could see all the heroes once again, on the big screen! It was a must-watch movie to me.

This year, Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen is even better! I enjoyed the movie so much. Couldn't understand why some of Andrew's friends and colleagues told him that it wasn't as good as the first one. I find it great! Actions and fights were all over the movie right from the beginning to the end. I so love it. Maybe I've always been a fan of Transformers and all the robotic thingy, that's why I love it.

Am going to watch it for 2nd time.

Short Trip To Seremban

Last Sunday, went to Seremban for a super duper delicious crab dinner. There were 5 of us, Wan Yi, her husband and her friend, me with Andrew. Wan Yi was coming back from Singapore, while Andrew and I went to Seremban from KL.

Deep fried pork ribs (Nam Yu Pai Guat)

BBQ crab with salted egg.

BBQ crab with Marmite, yummy!!!

Last Friday, while I was waiting for Andrew to pick me up from Subang Parade, I was wandering around in the mall. The place is so different from 3 years ago when it was still new, not so much of crowds back then. I saw MPH bookstore! My legs acted faster than my mind! LOL! I was in there browsing through the books already before I know it. Buy 3 books for the price of 2??? Gosh, that was a steal! Best of all, Jodi Picoult's books are among them. I grabbed 2 books from Jodi Picoult, the other one, I just grabbed this chocolate dessert recipe. For what I want a recipe book now? Hahaha. For my collection, for future experiments. Hehehe. :)

Jodi Picoult isn't my favorite author, but I do love her My Sister's Keeper which I read years ago. It now has become a big screen movie, starring Cameron Diaz. It's funny that I don't see this movie in Malaysia. Hmm...... Gotta watch it and see how different it is from the book like what they said.

Geez, now I have like 5 books waiting to be read!
